Guiding Light Disability Support Provides professional NDIS support across Pimpama and the Gold Coast, supporting participants with psychosocial and complex mental health needs, including autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, post-traumatic stress, schizophrenia, and anxiety. Support is delivered in a calm, consistent, and trauma-informed manner, with a focus on routine development, community access, daily living assistance, and skill building. Services are delivered with clear systems, consistent documentation, and a strong emphasis on safety, reliability, and collaboration with the broader support team.
Guiding Light Disability Support is committed to providing services that are safe, respectful and aligned with the NDIS Act 2013, NDIS Code of Conduct and NDIS Practice Standards.
As an independent support worker, I ensure all participants have clear and independent options for raising and reporting concerns.
Your Rights to Safety and Respect
As your support worker, I am fully committed to providing services that are safe, respectful and aligned with the NDIS Code of Conduct and NDIS Practice Standards. Every participant has the right to feel safe, valued and heard at all times.
I follow a strict zero tolerance policy toward any form of abuse, neglect or exploitation. This includes:
• Physical, emotional or psychological abuse
• Sexual misconduct or inappropriate behaviour
• Financial or material exploitation
• Neglect of support needs
• Bullying, intimidation or harassment
• Restricting a person’s rights, choices or freedoms
If anything ever feels unsafe or uncomfortable, you have the right to speak up immediately. You will always be listened to, believed and supported.
Participants have multiple safe and independent reporting pathways.
You may choose whichever option feels most comfortable.
However, due to my role as an independent sole-trader support worker, I cannot receive or investigate complaints about my own conduct.
This ensures fairness, transparency, and aligns with NDIS conflict of interest requirements.
For any concerns involving safety, boundaries, conduct, or complaints about my services, please use one of the independent reporting options below.
Because I am a sole trader, I want participants to have independent, external options for reporting concerns.
You may report concerns to:
Your Support Coordinator
Your Plan Manager (if applicable)
Your primary NDIS service provider or agency
A trusted advocate or family member
This option ensures your concern is handled independently of me and can provide an additional layer of safety and support.
You can contact the NDIS Commission at any time without telling me.

They are independent and can investigate concerns about support worker conduct, safety or quality.
If anyone is in immediate danger, please call 000.
As an independent support worker, I recognise the importance of transparency, fairness and participant choice. I am committed to managing any potential or perceived conflicts of interest.
I will always:
Act in the participant’s best interests
Respect the participant’s choice and control
Avoid influencing or directing participants toward any particular provider.
Declare any real or potential conflicts openly
Separate my support role from any decision making about plans, funding or reviews
Encourage participants to seek independent advice where needed
Participants are free to use any provider or service, and my role is solely to deliver safe, respectful and high quality support without bias or influence.
